Not electrical advice. We compare products; we are not electricians. Before you connect a solar kit to your home, ask a qualified electrician to check the socket, the circuit and your consumer unit, and follow the maker's instructions.
Note: Includes a 5 m cable with a 3-pin plug and kerbside delivery. Warranty not stated. Octopus customers can get export payments (Octopus Outgoing). Octopus has no affiliate programme we know of, so we don't link to it.
Why it's worth a look
- Could take about £65 a year off your bill (south-tilted, someone home in the day): payback in about 7 years at today's prices.
- No roof work and no installer for the kit itself; take it with you when you move.
Watch out for
- Not yet confirmed on the ENA Type Test Register. Only connect a register-listed kit.
- Output is capped at 800 W by the rules, so panel watts above that add less than you might expect.
- You must tell your network operator () after plugging it in.
Reliability signals
- Repairs: through the maker's UK support; we list known issues only from named reviews, and none are recorded yet
